esther koko

Esther Koko came to us partially blind, unable to see the blackboard because she didn't have the right glasses, and very poor, living with her grandmother. We sent her to the local day school, and now she is the first student from the region to gain automatic admission to university from one of the local, public schools. We are so proud of her.
Elvis Omundi

Elvis is 14 years old and a very bright boy. He likes football and would like to remain in school, even though his family is extremely poor. His dream is to become a doctor. WKEO would like to support him as a new student this year.
With the help of supporters of the Kenya Education Organization, Elvis will stay in school and have more opportunities.
Please help us spread the word so we can insure that Elvis and his classmates can continue their education.

Alice ayuko

Alice is 13 years old. She is the youngest of five and is very bright and always competing with the boys in her classes. Her father died some years back, leaving the mother as the sole bread-winner. Without our help, she will have to leave school. We would like to support this deserving girl to start 9th grade this year. She wants to grow up to be a broadcaster and help other people in her community improve their lives.

BERYL ATIENO

Beryl is 17 years old. Beryl is very promising academically, but financial trouble has made going to school difficult for her. She is very determined to continue. When we started supporting her last year, her family was going to have to withdraw her from school, and her only uniform was one that was donated to her by a girl who had graduated. She only had this one set, but she washed the blouse everyday after school so that it was ready in the morning for the new day. We purchased a second uniform for her and plan to support her through this year so she can graduate.
ELPHAS OWITI

Elphas is 15 and the eldest in a family of three children. Elphas always tests between 2nd and 4th in his class. His father passed away, and his family is supported by his mother, who has trouble meeting the financial obligations of his family, much less Elphas' school fees. He likes to read books and walk in the forest to study wildlife.
